๐Ÿ Why Violet Evergarden Is Bad

Episode 7 hit me real bad. When Violet runs across the lake and the father goes into the monologue about how he wished his daughter lived, that had me in tears. that episode, and the one where she was writing letters from a mother to the daughter to be delivered over the years, were the two that hit me the most. It's been interesting to watch the backlash against Violet Evergarden's visuals. The end result is a purposeful near-haze that is in line with the overall Victorian-era movie aesthetic, but very different from a series that's airing week-to-week. I can't help but wonder if people would be a bit more forgiving if Violet Evergarden was a long movie. It's definitely worth watching, although you should know that it's fairly slow-paced. As someone that's more attuned to shonen/fast paced anime, I really enjoyed violet evergarden. Every once in a while I go outside my box and I don't regret it (your lie in april). As far as I see it, the anime only asks you to accept three fantastical elements: 1. advanced prosthetics exist, 2. Violet Evergarden is the worst animated Japanese series of its year. The reasoning transcends its medium alone - the impact on Yeah, Violet was a child soldiers and, while we don't know her exact age, maybe she's not really at an age where that's considered inappropriate in universe. Course, there's a lot more to it than just age. Gilbert does everything, at least what we see in the anime, to avoid being anything more than a mentor to Violet. Here in the movie, we see that there is, indeed, a heart that still beats under that hardened exterior. He tries his hardest to change, and while it is a bit of a slow process, he does come around eventually. It doesnโ€™t mean that he becomes a truly likable character, but you could say that heโ€™s more tolerable now. Violet Evergarden Overrated Show I watched the whole series and the movies over the weekend. Still not everything was explained, so many plotholes and most episodes were boring as hell. 1AB3bO.
